Hi, I'm Michelle — Welcome to Hello Sailor Me.

If you'd told me years ago that I'd one day be designing my own clothing brand, I'd probably have laughed. But looking back, I think it was always going to happen.

My love affair with the 1950s started the first time I watched Grease. I was completely hooked. The music, the fashion, the confidence, the colours, the hairstyles... there was something about that era that never left me.

Over the years I found myself collecting inspiration from everywhere — classic pin-up art, vintage tattoos, rockabilly culture, old diners, seaside postcards and everything in between. I loved the style, but I could never quite find T-shirts that felt like me. I wanted something playful, flattering and full of personality. Something you could throw on with jeans and instantly feel a little more confident.

So I decided to create them myself.

Hello Sailor Me was born from a simple idea: vintage-inspired clothing that feels fun, wearable and made to last. Every design starts as an idea inspired by the things I genuinely love, before being refined into artwork that celebrates bold women, classic style and a little bit of cheeky charm.
